Martini: 2 oz. gin, 1 oz dry vermouth, bruise room temperature alcohol in a shaker with ice. Serve in a martini glass. Garnish with an olive.

Old Fashioned: 1 tsp simple syrup, 3 dashes bitters, 1 jigger Blended scotch whiskey, ice. Stir in old fashioned/rocks glass and garnish with maraschino cherry and orange wedge.
Traditionally, you’re supposed to muddle sugar and bitters together with a splash of water. We skipped that and added simple syrup and bitters. It integrated better.

A highball is really any liquor with soda added. A Rum and Coke, 7 & 7, Jack and Coke are all highballs.
